8 years ago, Paul gave me a thoughtful yet cheeky gift for my 50th birthday, ‘The outlying fells of Lakeland, a Pictorial Guide to the lesser fells written primarily for old age pensioners...’ It still gives me great joy reading about a place I love, I will always treasure this gift along with the wonderful and beautiful message he wrote on the bookmark.

Today in Pauls memory we chose to walk one of the routes from the book. My wife Marie, myself and our 2 dogs Joss and Ted walked the 4.5 hour round of Muncaster Fell in the beautiful Eskdale valley in the Lake District.
